More Information
In plastics processing, rapid approvals, reproducible measurement results, and short inspection times are crucial. Whether injection-molded parts, engineering plastic components, or precision molded parts: Quality assurance must keep pace with increasing demands for accuracy and productivity.
With the IM-X1000 digital measuring projector, KEYENCE presents a solution that significantly reduces the effort required for measurement. Components are simply placed on the measuring table and measured automatically at the push of a button. Up to 5,000 features can be captured in a single measurement process without time-consuming alignment or clamping of the parts.
The system offers significant added value, particularly for injection molding applications: Drawings and CAD data can be imported automatically, allowing measurement programs to be created quickly. Even physical drawings can be digitized directly and used for programming. This significantly reduces the time required for initial sample inspections, production approvals, and incoming goods inspections.
Thanks to automatic focus, illumination, and edge detection, the system achieves reproducible results regardless of the operator. In addition, optional tactile and confocal laser-based measurement methods enable the detection of height, form, and position tolerances, as well as complex 3D features.
